The FLC is pleased to announce that for next year’s 2013 boys [youth] summer lacrosse, the FLC will be working in conjunction with the Long Island Pride Lacrosse Club [“Pride”], which is a Farmingdale based organization. The Pride was formed over a decade ago by Joe Baccarella, a long time Farmingdale resident, a member of FLC’s board

and a highly regarded and accomplished lacrosse coach. The FLC shares the Pride’s philosophy concerning player development and progression

through learning the game as a player and, significantly, that there should be a place for everyone to play lacrosse.

To be clear, there will be no separate FLC [youth] summer teams next year, so players are encouraged to proceed with the Pride if they want to play lacrosse during the summer of 2013. The Pride has affordable rates and an excellent coaching staff.

The Pride also holds tryouts for its summer lacrosse teams to ensure proper team placement for each player, and has given the FLC a commitment that it will endeavor to keep the Farmingdale players together as best it can.

Any Farmingdale boys [youth] lacrosse player who is interested in playing summer lacrosse in 2013 is directed to the Pride’s website:

www.longislandpridelacrosse.com for more information about the Pride and it’s upcoming tryouts, which will be Sept. 16th and Sept. 23rd at Centre Island Park in Bayville:

Grades 3-6 7:00 PM

Grades 7-8 8:30 PM

It is the grade your son is in as of Sept 2012

By directing our players to the successful Pride summer program, the FLC will be able to continue to focus on its core programs of developing youth lacrosse in Farmingdale through its 4v4 program, clinics, camps, and assisting the PAL as necessary with its spring lacrosse season. All of these programs will continue as they have in the past, with more information about them to be posted in the future.

If you have any questions regarding this announcement please email us at: info@farmingdalelaxclub.com

Thank you.
